Why I Started The Process Navigator - And Why You're Here

Some careers follow a straight path. Mine? It’s been a winding road filled with unexpected challenges, on-the-job learning, and hard-earned lessons. And that’s exactly why I started The Process Navigator—to help others navigate their own journey in Project Management, Quality, and Workplace Safety.

So, How Did We Get Here?

I’ve spent over a decade working in quality systems, project execution, and workplace safety, primarily in medical laboratories and public health. But let me tell you—this wasn’t a path I meticulously planned.

One day, I found myself in a high-stakes meeting with stakeholders, expected to make key decisions—without a formal project management background. No fancy certifications. No structured training. Just instincts, adaptability, and a willingness to learn on the go.

It was terrifying, exhilarating, and—more than anything—transformative. Every challenge taught me something new, and every experience shaped the professional I am today.

From the Field to the Classroom (and Back Again)

After years of figuring things out in real-time, I finally had the means (cash hunaay! πŸ˜‚) to formalize my experience with certifications and a degree.

Pursuing my Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management (and now an MBA) has been a mix of "aha!" moments and "if only I knew this before!" realizations. I’d sit in class thinking back to real-world challenges I faced, laughing at how differently I would have tackled them if I had the frameworks I was now learning.
